Tuesday morning
I remember stormy weather
The way the sky looks when it's cold
And you were with me
Content with walking
So unaware of the world

Walking on air
nigel.

sneakily stepping out of the biting cold
a less-than-familiar face at my side
chuckles accompany the light steps taken across the bridge
where there was mirth to be found aplenty
it was there the foundation was laid.

a room of clustered souls
joy permeated its concrete walls
as we flipped those thick sheets of wood
what need did we have
for anything other
than each other.

brotherhood: blades with keen edges
we wielded them as one
more often than not
we felt the cold taste of similar steel piercing us
when turned against, the poison did penetrate
but together we could not fall.

the seasons spent basking
with nary a care
our countenances bright; our hearts light
the stones that are there now
were only placed as we matured.

matured, into a neighbouring land
exploded into a frenzy of emotions and enlightenment
occasionally its ideal to leave the wool pulled over our eyes
for fear of discovering the truth
about natures and nuances.

grasping left and right, some could not stop
too caught up in the promises of life and love
forsaking forged fords, crossing into cold channels
embracing that which was unknown before
senseless in the sensation, succumbing to the spotlight.

midnight
many a midnight spent
languishing in the futility of it all
will they remember?

daylight
I must wait for the sunrise
I must think of a new life
And I must not give in
When the dawn comes,
tonight will be a memory too
And the new day
will begin.

memory
all alone in the moonlight
I can smile at the old days
WE were beautiful then.
I remember, the time I knew what happiness was.
Let the memory,
live again.

Please?
