StraitjacketPosted at: 11:09 AM Easter holidays ... a welcome break from everything in school and a chance to catchup on all that unfinished work ... i'm quite dead i'm supposed to finish maths assign 2 by monday and assign 3 by tuesday, as well as tutorial 4 and no i'm proud to say i have not touched any of them. my easter holiday was spent catching up with ken and chinks ... although it wasn't exactly very conducive we still managed to have fun i guess haha. went to suntec in the morning and ended up eating food court. Then i spent 5 bucks on frozen yoghurt - 1.10 came from a sprinkling of chopped strawberries: the word 'strawberries' came tumbling out of my mouth too fast after the girl asked 'toppings?' and I saw the price tag straight after that. sighhh owells. then ken had to go keep his earlier appointment with his family to watch mrbean so chinks and i went to meet huige to play lan. it being good friday, all the secondary school boys decided to go to dhoby and waste the spaces there with their noob skills. so we ended up waiting for 1 hour or so until 10 people came out of odyssey and since huige had the amazing foresight to leave his name on the waiting list we managed to start playing. unfortunately for poor huige he had to leave at 345 when we started at 330. heheh. well the canoeists (3 of them anyway, marcus shenghao justin) were there. apparently they had some pre-organized canoeing lan outing. and judging from the turnout, namely 3 people, I don't really think the canoeing people are that into lan. and yet marcus had the gall to seriously, not jokingly reprimand chinks when chinks decided to join us over them, staring at chinks and going 'so chinks? what's this? pangseh is it?' before striding off in a 'i've made my point' swagger, leaving me staring daggers at his back and wishing those daggers would actually materialize. perhaps the most fruitful time of the day was the train ride home with ken and we managed to talk about some things, meaningful stuff as compared to the good-natured ribbing, the laughs and the crapping throughout the day. an insight gleaned from this time: although making new friends is good, i'd rather know less people and have more time to spend with those closest to me. so true. and so from some stuff we talked about, i'm gonna continue trying to improve my temper and my choice of words, have a lil' more self-control and everything. things are looking up i guess; my new class's alright with yijing and lijian to crap with and the interesting msn convos with mel as well as a marker-stained arm. here's to getting by 2 years unscathed - though I have to say there's still a part of my life missing. Subtlely it gets to me. |
