Tuesday morning
I remember stormy weather
The way the sky looks when it's cold
And you were with me

So unaware of the world

people talk about how relationships and dealings with girls/guys in rjc can be rather difficult and might take some time getting used to. crushes, falling in love, going steady ... all these serve to be distractions from other things that we should be focusing on.

but are they really all that bad? you can look at it a few ways - one, that having a crush would distract you from what you're supposed to do and make you do badly in everything. two - a crush would motivate you to be the best that you can be to prove yourself worthy of him/her. three - having a crush would make you need to socialize more to find out how to make yourself appealing, and to get to know more people. hence interacting with members of the opposite sex is really not as bad as it seems, and can actually get rather fun.

but of course no one should rush into anything. couples are sprouting up all over the place in RJ and if i have to be skeptical, i'll go outright and say that probably 50% of these newly-formed couples will not last the 2 years. perhaps forming firm relationships should be our priority now, and retaining old ones as compared to grasping at the straws that seem to be placed in front of you but might be more superficial than they really are.

of course, having a crush outside of school helps to get you less distracted during classes. but nah, distraction comes easily when you have a sense of humour. =)
