FondnessPosted at: 6:30 AM wow, was blasted with a shockwave of nostalgia and memories today. accompanied my mum downstairs to see the doctor, and she wanted to buy something from this super old corner convenience store near my house, which I haven't been to in a very long time 'cos its not situated in a convenient place. 'cos I didn't live here last time, so the convenience store used to be a rather big novelty as it had toys and stuff. and you know mothers, they spend super long time whenever they're at a place when they can buy stuff, so my bro and I would stone for a long time looking at all the toys, reading the backs of the wrappings, looking at the food. Hahah I saw a $1.20 mini - gun shooter and last time it seemed sooooo ex... now I can just buy one on a whim and randomly shoot people. sigh the memories. then i dunno, sometimes when I have nothing to do I delve past the wonderful sec 4 memories to think about the more carefree days, where we were just fresh out of primary school and getting to be a part of the rafflesian society as sec 1s and 2s. really miss those times spent in the seminar room with my sec 2 classmates just doing random things during those carefree days when subjects were easier, there were less things to study and more time to hang out and chill. stoning in the aircon seminar room after pe, listening to music/playing cards in the morning, talking rubbish and acting stupid during class times ... basically the same thing happened in sec 3 and 4, but that's probably 'cause I had nothing better to do as well ... =) the constant shifting of venues ... having so many breaks you start to feel numb ... no quiet place you can really kick your socks off and put your feet up without people staring at you ... the cold, grey architecture with hard lines and rectangular box designs. RJ's a cold, cold place to be. Since when were public places (rathole, library, canteen, amphi) supposed to feel better than a personal classroom. And don't be surprised at people's angsty/emo/whatever the crap blog posts/conversations/etc. life's not a bed of roses, even if you want it to be. |
