FlowPosted at: 7:11 AM I've never been inside a club. Never been inside a pub. Apart from the few fruit-flavoured Bacardis my bro's let me try, and the beer i've drank during gatherings and the like, and the sips of red wine that I find horribly pungent, I totally don't know any other kind of alcoholic concoction that one can order, except for those well-known ones like Bloody Mary etc etc. But I can't say the same for you. I've nothing against these things. They're perfectly fine. But i'd never dream of clubbing, pubbing, drinking or whatever as a form of recreation or even for an interaction with my friends. I guess inside, I haven't really changed even though I've grown older. I'd much rather spend an afternoon lanning with friends, or playing badminton, or catching a movie, or just stoning, sitting around a table after lunch and chatting. And I don't think I'll ever really appreciate these, I don't know, do you call them 'adult' things? It seems funny that sometimes, we can be worlds apart. A great rift between us, our lifestyles, the physical distance, the people we know, the things we do. And when I realize that, my heart sinks. But the things that you do, how you do them, the things that you say, how you say them, every shred of time, every moment, draws me near again. How does a person survive this way? |
