Trying to close the distancePosted at: 3:00 AM The days pass by so quickly, and JC life is just staring me in the face. I seriously hope that the humanities people are not like, no-lifers or people with no sense of humour or whatever. Life would be hell in a class like that. Another phase of our lives, another level of school education. But actually I don't really care much about this at all. I know, I know, when it gets serious I'll have to really start the grind, be focused and try to score well. But all these studying, gaming, having fun; doesn't really compare much to a single entity. Sometimes, the people you love are within reaching distance. But you feel as if they're so far away. This cold feeling comes over you, and you feel as if you're thrown into some abyss, unable to come out. Why do we not seize the moment, seize the day, seize the opportunities given to us, seize the people that are important to us? Because we are afraid. Because I am afraid. Sometimes, us humans like to be sure of things before taking that crucial first step. If things are not sure, then the first step could turn out to be a calamity, and destroy whatever things you have. Would you rather eat bread without butter, or not eat bread at all? You can't, you really can't have your cake and eat it. That is of course, if circumstances were different. But in life we play with the cards we're dealt. In life, we can't choose the things we're given. You can't say, oh I want this person for a brother, I want this person for a mother, I want this person for a father. You may be able to say, I want to spend my entire life with this person. But what if the person does not want you. I can't take that risk. |
