A Final Day and a TributePosted at: 12:10 AM Well today was the last day of school. Technically, at least. We still have graduation ceremony and grad night coming up. But yeah, the school year has almost officially come to an end, and the time we spend with each other as 2H'ians and Hotmales is drawing to a close. I guess if you trust in God, everything falls into place. I managed to pull off a personal achievement of not failing a single paper for this CT, including Chem and Physics. Heck, I even got a B for Maths which is like a record for me. My CCA appeal went through, and now i've got B4 for it. Chinese O levels was acceptably easy. My RE group got A, even though it seemed like our teacher wasn't going to give us much marks. The only disappointment I have is not meeting my own expectations towards Humanities, especially History. But everything holds a lesson to be learnt. To the 2H people who I spent my junior years in RI with, I'll never forget the fun times we had. You were the people who were with me when I was fresh in RI, feeling a little lost (but not that bad, since my brother was in RI too =] ) and it seems as if I have all the luck when I get placed into classes, because in my opinion the people in 4A and 2H are the classes that get along the best. To my buddies in 2H, those who I had all the fun times in class with like Kennedy, Jeremy, Hanson, Junliang, Elton, Ball (Shawn), Jevon, Prem, Yanxiang, Nicholas. Those were seriously great times and I hope we don't lose contact guys. To all the 4A people who I have had the honour and the fortune to share my senior years in RI with. You guys have been a great lot. Even though I wasn't with many 4A'ians during OBS, that didn't hinder me from becoming fast friends with you guys. I seriously enjoyed my time in the class and I hope my craziness, jokes (sometimes lame but mostly funny) and argumentative/hot-headed nature didn't affect you guys too badly. Our class is such a unique class because since Sec 3, we were like outsiders, not merging with any class for any lessons. And with so many pupil leaders and outstanding people in our class, especially Mr. Headboy Chua Jun Yang, ours is a sterling and fine example of how a class should be, except for the times when we go a little overboard. We've had some great times, and its unfortunate that Fahd had to leave us. But still, the memories I have with you guys will never fade, because I have a very good memory. Nah, because those were seriously great times. And as I start to prepare to go to Nicky's house after writing this, I know that we will continue to have fun during the holidays and hopefully during RJC as well. To Kennedy, one of my best friends since Secondary 1 and now as well, I'm really fortunate to have you as a friend. I'm also proud of you for being such a hardcore person, even though I tease you about it all the time. Sorry to say, that doesn't rub off on me 'cos you can still see what a slacker I am. But Kennedy seriously, I've never seen someone like you who can take almost ANYTHING and EVERYTHING thrown at you with a light heart, even when you feel hurt or anything you let it be shown for the slightest time and after that you're all better. And for all the times I've spent in your houses old and new, be it for mugging or for slacking. And also the times you've spent in mine. The words you've said and the entertainment they've provided, showing your funny attitude and personality, which is why people like you. Thanks for being my friend. To Shawn, you are a cool guy even though sometimes you act like an ***hole. =) But still your antics and behaviour and the things you do are always funny, although sometimes stupid, irritating, dumb, lame, corny, er oops. And when you are serious you can be really serious, so that's good too. Thanks for all the times we shared music and talked about stuff, and all the lunches we ate with other people. Even though you went into another class you still treated me as a friend, and I appreciate how you rarely show me attitude and say that to you, I'm a good friend. To Yanxiang, you're one cool dude as well. You and Shawn going into the same class, when I saw that allocation during Sec 2 I was jealous, not to say the least. Of course I didn't know then what a great class 4A would be but yeah you can realize. Being my good friend, classmate, and triple CCA-mate, all the fun times we had during NCC, Shooting and Interact Camps and the times we've suaned Shawn and Kennedy together. All the talks about games, comics, movies, and everything, and our time together as classmates in Sec 2. You're a really great friend and thanks for everything. To Jevon, who's always been really nice to me and has only gotten pissed off at me like once. Even though I admit I do some pretty stupid stuff, especially in Sec 2. You were a great seating buddy and it was a godsend that your Maths was so excellent, and my English was as well, so we could you fu tong xiang, you nan tong dang, tong gan gong ku, etc. Not to say that your English was lousy, though, just that mine was better haha. Thanks for being a great friend and a stoner as well, although I think that these 2 years your stone has crumbled as can be seen from all the extra stuff you're doing. And all the times I've bothered you on MSN or called you about stuff I forgot or didn't know and you helped me. Thanks Jevon. To Junliang, thanks for being so crazy and always laughing like mad over the slightest thing. Your laughter is insanely contagious and yea haha. Once again although we're not in the same class for 2 years glad that we still kept in touch and yea your craziness, some of it has rubbed off on me. Although sorry to say i'll never like your favourite sport soccer hahaha. Good luck in your aspirations and soccer seeing as you're so hardcore about everything from studies to trainings. =) To Harold, it's cool that I got to know you in Sec 3 when you were pinching guonian's cheeks. Actually I knew you in sec 2, when we were playing bnet together but I didn't realize Sylll was this big gay er I mean great person. Although I can't thank you because you should thank me for saving your butt in History and SS for two years, but all the lan, movie and bowling trips have been fun and the good thing about you is you never get angry, at least i've never seen you get angry. Continue hardcoring Chinese in JC yea and let's go lan again. To Chinks, one of my greatest friends as well. It's really cool that my two best friends know each other also, and you two should come over more often so I can sell all your dota items when you play it on my computer. It's amazing really when I think of all the stuff we've managed to cram into these 2 years, Chinks. Besides coming out with all the interesting words and meanings like resonance, precis, banderbear, etc. And when did we start going to RJC everyday for recess and male bonding? It seems innumerable, the number of times we've gone there. And this year when we started intimate link, it was really funny how we kept doing the same things at the same time and were freaked out haha. And all of the common stuff we share, and all the comebacks and taunts to each other and to our classmates. Thanks for all the discussions and talks we've had at RJC, on the phone and anywhere else, whether they were about me or you. I shudder when I think what it would be like if I hadn't ponned Lim Jee Nee's talk on the first day of Sec 3 together with you to resonance to the mama stall. I might not have made friends with you so fast and you might have thought of me as just another mugger who has no life. You and Kennedy share an identical trait; you both try to look at the bright side of things and try to stop quarrels or displeasures when they happen. It's shameful for me, really, how the both of you have stopped me from acting rashly because of anger and I applaud the both of you for that. Over these 2 years we've really helped each other alot and improved in the various areas of our lives, and I'd like to thank you for the influence you've had in changing me and the times we've enjoyed together. Let's not change it during RJC, hopefully. To Ivan, thanks for being there as the bright spark of the class and never failing to relieve any tension with a misplaced quote during class. Thanks for spending all that time playing whatever games with me, along with miejue. You are truly the master of RPG games, along with Yihan. And although you are fun and funny and amusing all the time, you're also serious when you've gotta be, pulling up your socks when you know you've gotta do something and kicking yourself into high gear when the situation calls for it. Rock on, Ivan. To Jian Hui. You're a really cool dude and don't let other people get you down, man. Although others might tease and insult you, (even i've cut down on mine), be aware of your own strengths and confidence, and rein in that wild streak and temper of yours that erupts sometimes. It's fun to be with you and no matter what people say, you are indeed smart. It's really cool that although everyone pokes fun at your singing you don't care about it and continue to do it good-naturedly. Actually, it isn't that bad. We're just used to suaning you about it and seriously, you are a good person. Also, I hope that recent events (you know this) don't get you down man. Like I've told you in the past, all of us are behind you no matter what. Just because one or two thorns crop up in your life, doesn't mean that you will get pierced to death by them. Just accept it and move on, it'll be for the better. =) To Nicky, thanks for being a Beng and being serious too. As well as showing the class how imba you are at ponning or being late, we're really proud of you =P. And thanks for opening up your house for so many class gatherings, you're a very good host seeing as so many people come at one shot, it's really hard but you do good. and thanks for being such a fun person and your devil-may-care attitude really works wonders when people are feeling down, especially since you show concern for them as well. To Zhizhi, you are indeed a great person and uber high profile just like Junyang and Kennedy or other alike people. But you're also a human being, which I doubt sometimes about Junyang and Kennedy =P. And you never fail to play ID, dota or whatever when we wanna play together. And now that you went along so coolly and bought WoW to play, it really confirms the fact that you're not just about polo, studies and other stuff. Unlike you, I will never bother to make inspirational speeches to the class or whatever unless I feel really angry about something, I guess you are just a natural leader and it's cool that you're in 4A as well man. 4A has many all-rounders in terms of sports (CCAs), studies and involvement, but you not only have these, you have the human streak in you and it's not a hard thing for you to push some work aside to have fun with your classmates. Thanks for being a classmate and a friend, as well as a monitor heh these 2 years. Thank you, Raffles Institution. |
