Maths TestPosted at: 6:50 AM Today, the big thing on all of our minds would probably be the maths test, no? Interesting pattern I observed; everytime before any Maths Test most people in class will be hardcore mugging. But I feel, it doesn't really help, unless you really didn't study. Then of course last minute studying would help you. But I mean, maths is not about memorizing and stuff. Sure you do have to memorize things, but its more about the practice. For myself even though I started practicing some time ago, it's never enough, now is it? Another thing: overconfidence. Overconfidence usually is a result of mugging really hard before any test, and thus mixing up keywords or forgetting to do questions, as displayed by Mr. Tan Ee Kuan AKA K3 AKA Ricky Martin AKA Livin' La Vida Loca AKA Handsome AKA Ee Chong AKA Balen AKA Balum. Granted he knew how to do all the questions, and he finished at like 10.55 with 25 minutes to spare. Lying back in his chair, he whipped out his water bottle and drank leisurely. What is it with drinking water when you have finished tests? I myself do it sometimes. I think it's probably because theoretically during a test you should not have enough time to drink water, so when you drink water it signifies you're done. Okay back to Ee Kuan. So he was happily relaxing one corner, then just as he was handing in his paper he realized he didn't do Q3. GGKTHXBYE 6 marks gone straight. Max mark straightaway fall to 24. I don't know about others, but Maths tests for me are like huge rocks on my heart. Maybe because I don't do very well for Maths, or the topics are tricky, or whatever. Everytime i'm done with a Maths test I feel so much ... free-ER. If there is such a word. =) Ah, on tuesday we were forced to run 2.4. It didn't help that I was dog tired from exercising the previous day. So anyway my timing improved by like, 50 seconds! =DDD Meanwhile Hui Ge is still continuing with his torment of poor Kenny in the left corner of the classroom. And since Nicky is immune to HG's singing, he sings along. Hui Ge always asks me if he is tone-deaf. He is not tone-deaf, but sometimes he goes really off tune. And poor Kenny is always subjected to it. Hui Ge finds every available opportunity to burst into song, for good or for bad. And he knows that its torture. The other day we were walking past a CD shop playing a Chi song that HG knew, and he started to sing it. When I started to walk really fast, he caught up and said "Everytime we walk past a CD shop, you wish it wasn't there right?" Hell yeah. Anyway, yesterday Chinks and I saw this pen on melvyn's table that had a rolling globe attached to it. So while rolling it on the table, the following conversation ensued: Me: Hey cool pen. It's kinda like those rubbers sold back in pri. school. Chinks: ??? What rubbers? Me: You know, last time bookshop will sell those cute rubbers with like another rolling eraser attached to them. Chinks: Err.. maybe those rollers are for COLLECTING THE ERASER DUST ON THEIR STICKY SURFACE??? Me: Omg you're right. I'm so stupid. Chinks: hahahahaha Oh by the way Chinks might become a contributor to the blog. So stay tune for further updates. And today in house meeting, Chien Wai sang 'Wherever You Will Go'. Nice song, and I reckon he did some justice to it. But it's like I noticed a trend? Whoever hangs out with people who perform on stage, will keep sticking with them and following their style even if they were not like that before. E.g. KaiBin + Chien Wai, Darren + Yin Wei. I find it quite sad. You should just be yourself. I mean if I see everyone having straight hair, and they can style it in funny poser ways and that is the trend or whatever, doesn't mean I should go and rebond my hair just to be like them right. Jeez. Okay tomorrow I shall post some interesting pictures. Stay tuned. |
