CIPPosted at: 6:19 AM Today we went down to Geylang to do our class (with a lot of other classes) CIP. Had to wake up at like, 5+ when I was feeling really sleepy. But never mind, dragged myself down there. It was a really fun experience actually. I of course am speaking for myself, since I didn't get a household where the people were uncooperative or the house was in a totally dilapidated state. My household consisted of a 40 year old lady and her super cute 5 year old boy. That boy was seriously cute, man. He was like running around and poking Harold in the toilet, then trying to feel all the stuff we were using to clean or were cleaning. So I must say we did quite a good job, left the house much cleaner overall. We also had alot of fun playing with the boy. Alex and Jingping who were cleaning the other house were so attracted by him they came along to play. Haha. Actually I feel that this was rather meaningful. Okay I admit I probably feel so because my house wasn't that bad. You can't blame me. But I mean generally, improving the lives of others is actually quite a good thing. =) And during CIP there was some funny stuff too. Like when we were resting, Chinks and Ee Kuan were talking about something. This was how it went: Ee Kuan: Last time I run actually faster than nowadays... Chinks: Hmm... yeah... me too... Ee Kuan: Damn lah, my running fitness really decreased nowada- - - Chinks: Yahla yahla whatever la whatever Me: Hahahahaha Ee Kuan: Does not get it and continues talking And this week, I was quite shocked to find out that there are quite a few RI guys who really don't like reading. They are missing out, man. Like Banana Boy. When I borrowed SW:ROTS (starwarsrevengeofthesith) the novelization, CJ was like 'why are you reading this now?' understandable question, 'cause the movie was like last year. So i was like 'cause i watched the movie, but haven't read the novel yet.' This apparently was not a good enough reason for Banana Boy. It seems that picking up a good book and just reading it is not sufficient to convince people to read. Haha... But reading's great fun lah. Especially when the book is good. Of course, I still love comics. Comics, FTW. I feel that I am changing somewhat. Last time, no matter the person, I would not do something special or change my plans just to comply with what was going on. But recent events in my life have caused me to change, and learn to adapt myself if I want to get closer to people. It is... how would you say, a fresh perspective on things, one that I find is rather acceptable in order to accomplish the things I want to do. What does this paragraph mean? Read between the lines. =) (Btw there is no hidden code or whatever. So don't waste time futilely. Read between the lines is a metaphor. Hah.) Counting down the days to DMP weeks, where I can finally find enough spare time to breathe the fresh air of freedom, and pick up new skills that I've always wanted to have. Time, is truly of the essence. Not forgetting to have fun with you guys during the DMP as well. I mean, who really cares about the modules, eh? =) Peace. |
